RATES

Square Inch Price
I charge 2.5 cents per square inch for all edge-to-edge designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60" x 80" = 4800 sq" x .025 = $120.
My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that the total price of a table runner or other small quilted item will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.

Batting
Batting is a separate charge and is not included in the per square inch price.
My batting of choice and what I keep on hand is Quilters Dream. Purchasing batting directly from me saves you money since you will purchase only what you need. If you are shipping your quilt top to me, you'll save on postage as well. I keep a few varieties and weights in stock. See also the Special Order information below.

Dream Cotton Select - 100% cotton medium loft - Natural
Dream 80/20 Select - 80% cotton/20% poly blend medium loft - Natural
Dream Poly Select - 100% polyester medium loft - White
Dream Bamboo Select - Blend of bamboo, silk, cotton, and Tencel medium loft - Natural
These battings will be sold by the linear inch (93" wide), except for special orders. I require 5" in addition to the quilt measurement in both directions. If your quilt measures less than 88" long, you will only need the WIDTH of your quilt plus 5". If your length is more than 88" long, you will need the LENGTH plus 5". If both measurements exceed 88", I will order a larger batt for you.
To estimate your batting charge, take the number of inches from above, and multiply by the per linear inch charge below:
Dream Cotton Select Natural - $0.43 per linear inch
Dream 80/20 Select Natural - $0.42 per linear inch
Dream 100% Poly Select White - $0.34 per linear inch
Dream Bamboo Select Natural - $0.49 per linear inch

You can choose your own thread color, work together with my suggestions, or ask me to choose for you. It is your quilt!

Shipping
LOCAL CLIENTS IN THE COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA VICINITY:
You can give me your quilt top and backing in person. No need to pay for shipping, and you'll get your quilt finished more quickly! Simply indicate this on your BOOK YOUR QUILT form and I will reach out to you to make arrangements. Of course, mailing your top and backing are also an option (see guidelines below).
Once your quilting is complete, we will make arrangements for local pick-up.
NON-LOCAL CLIENTS:
I recommend that you protect your quilt top and backing materials from moisture during shipping by wrapping securely in a plastic bag and taping, then packing into a sturdy cardboard box and taping all seams well. Label clearly and cover address information with tape. I also recommend insurance to cover your investment in materials in the case of loss or damage during transit. For added clarity, I recommend that you print out your BOOK YOUR QUILT form and include a copy in the box (but not in the plastic bag).
When quilting is complete, I will return your quilt to you promptly once the invoice has been paid. Your quilt will be wrapped and taped in plastic and boxed securely. I use USPS Priority Mail using the most economical way (FLAT RATE is not always the most economical). Priority mail includes $100 of insurance and a tracking number. However, I highly recommend additional insurance to protect your investment, not only of your materials cost, but the cost of my invoice. You will indicate your choice of additional insurance options on your BOOK YOUR QUILT form. Although I do recommend additional insurance, I do not require it.

I ship packages through the shipping portal Pirate Ship to save you money. Pirate Ship utilizes Shipsurance, which is a bit cheaper than added insurance through the US Postal Service, and generally runs less than $1 per $100 of insurance. In the case of a claim, you would need to substantiate the value of your package, so keep that in mind when choosing an insurance amount.
DISCLAIMER: It isn't often that packages are lost or damaged, but in the unlikely event it happens to your package, you will want the insurance to cover your costs. I will retain proof of shipping until you confirm receipt of the package. If a claim is necessary, I will provide such proof of shipping, but I cannot be responsible for quilts lost by the post office.

Other Costs
As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price.

If you are a South Carolina resident OR you pick-up in South Carolina, I am required to collect 7% sales tax on your batting purchase only. Quilting services are not taxable.

Payment
After my work on your quilt is complete, I will email you an invoice which will contain payment instructions. Once your payment has been made, your quilt will be promptly sent on its way to you. For local clients, payments may also be made in person.
